I am a playwright with an eligible play but the theatre that professionally produced it is not listed as a Source Theatre. May I personally submit it?
As we do not accept submissions directly from a playwright, we suggest asking the professional theatre with which your play premiered to reach out to us. If your past work and the play in question meet all eligibility requirements, we will be happy to add the theatre to our Source Theatre list and send them an invitation to submit.
I am a playwright with an unproduced play. I meet all prior play eligibility requirements. May I submit?
We do not accept direct submissions by a playwright. If the professional theater with which your play is associated will be producing your play in the upcoming season, please bring the prize submission to their attention and ask them to reach out to us.
How does a theatre become a Source Theatre?
Theatres have continued to be added every prize cycle, either through our own research or when a theatre with an eligible play reaches out to the Prize.
